Hypothetical Produces world and regional premiere productions by renowned and up and coming playwrights. It is a criitically acclaimed company which has premiered and developed plays mostly on the east coast and has recently moved to its BROADWAY location in Boulder, CO.
Arts in Education
Hypothetical teaches by telling theatrical stories. The company famously created Ellis Island Stories for the National Park Service’s Ellis Island Immigration Museum in NYC. It was performed there for 8 years and continues to tour to schools, libraries and community centers in NYC and NJ and is coming to Colorado schools soon.
Hypothetical Theatre provides early career opportunities for performers, technicians, stage managers, and design interns.
The Hypothetical Theatre Company was founded in 1992 by Producing Artistic Director, Amy Feinberg in NYC and grew to include a membership of 40 theatre artists and several established playwrights whose plays premiered to critical success including Michael Weller, Jennifer Maisel, Jeffrey Sweet, Don Nigro, Ari Roth, Lisa Dillman, Amy Rosenthal, Aviva Jane Carlin, and many others.
